Step 3: Setting Up Line Access

Once the tie lines themselves are programmed, it then becomes necessary to program a way to

access them. This can be done three ways:

• Associate the E & M tie lines with a line group and button map the line group button on the

calling station(s).

• Prime Line Group the tie line group in Station programming.

• Have users dial a line group feature code to access the tie lines.

It is also possible to button map single line appearances for each tie line on the calling station(s)

or Prime Line a specific tie line to be used when calling the connected system.
